Shooting in Milan (2017)

Shooting in Paros (2016)

My journey into the magic world of photography began in January 2013, back then I shot mainly landscape and macro.
I delighted myself by taking beautiful shots of nature using a batteredNikon D5000that I received from my father.
As my passion for photography grew I started to invest some money into new gear, buying aNikkor 50mm f/1.4and aNikkor 40mm f/2.8 macro
I spent the whole 2013 summer walking around woods, fields and meadows nearby my hometown.
Eventually, I would end up using the locations I discovered back then in future portrait sessions.
By the end of 2013, once I was confident enough of my technical knowledge, I made the decision to buy high-end gear:Nikon D800body andNikkor 70-200mm f/2.8.
The first portrait session took place the 21st of June 2014 with a couple of friends and a girl I found using Facebook.
Although these photos weren't my best, I suddenly understood that there was some undiscovered potential.
As I did for nature photography I researched a lot of material on the internet in order to improve my skills.
I bought one of the best lenses out there: theNikkor 85mm f/1.4G.
As soon as I mounted it on my camera it became my favourite lens, along with theSigma 35mm f/1.4 Artthat I purchased soon after.
I'm a professional in this field, running my own business, since January 2017.
Time flew by like a supersonic jet, and I spent the most part of 2018 and 2019 working in the field.
The most interesting job I ever had the pleasure to do happened during the course of 2019.
It was an amazing collaboration with the R&D department of Huawei, where I helped them assess the capabilities of the P30Pro smartphone.
Then... Well, COVID hit.
Like a truck.
I have a visceral feeling that the world became a darker place since then.
During this time of isolation, I slowly began to lose interest in many things, even photography. Problems at home didn't help one bit and I always felt extra tired without moving a finger.
It's really been some really dark years for me.
I'm not entirely sure where I'll be heading from now on, we'll see I guess!
